By Sushila Ailawadi, inspired by her granddaughter.

(Mia-Akka means big sister…
Lily is very fond of it.
Idly is a south-Indian steamed rice cake…)
Idly Fiddly Lily
Little Lily tiddle taddle
Got into a fiddle faddle
Curly hair a maddle muddle
Thought she’d have a huddle cuddle
Lowered her big little bot
And soon was in a tight spot
Mia-Akka looking on
Thought Lily was a silly one
Her laughter hit a tickled spot
She laughed and laughed and couldn’t stop.
Then Mia-Akka up she got
And decided on the spot to have an idly for her dinner.
